Eunice Theresa Millet Melancon, a native and resident of Garyville, she passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 at the age of 87. Eunice was a member of St. Hubert’s Catholic Church Choir, Garyville VFW Auxiliary, St. Hubert Ladies Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America and Garyville Home Demonstration Club. She is survived by one daughter, Donna Terrio (Danny); three sons: Wendell (Nemo) Melancon, Terrell Melancon and Timmy Melancon (Debra); grandchildren: Nathan Crotty (Tanya), Bethany Kincheloe (Justin), Donny Terrio, Ian Melancon, Claire Beard, Haley Melancon, Julie Melancon and Wesley Melancon; two great grandchildren, Duane Crotty and Abigail Kincheloe and two step grandchildren, Deryk Kincheloe, and Haley Madere. She is also survived by one sister, Lavonne Brady (John), one brother, Arthur Millet, and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald Joseph Melancon; parents: Leonce Millet and Emeline Duhe Millet, and son-in-law Duane Crotty; brothers: J. C. Millet, Leonce Millet, and Robert Millet; sisters: Louise Pellissier Lemoine, Florence (Toonie) Porta, Helen Brady, Doris Louque Vicknair, Audry St. Pierre, and Ferrell Ann Chauvin Stockton. Visitation was on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at St. Hubert’s Church in Garyville from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. for the family and 9:00 a.m. until Mass at 12:00 p.m. Interment followed at St. Peter’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Reserve, LA.
