The Lutcher Highbased Lady Pride Softball team began Summer League play. Metro League play begins this week with several tournaments slated throughout the month of June.

The annual District 10-3A Track & Field Meet was recently held at Lutcher High School. The top four finishers in each event qualified for the Regional Meet.

Both the St. James and Lutcher High baseball teams saw their seasons come to an end as both were ousted in the first round of the state playoffs.

Mark J. Foerstner was born on November 17, 1959 and passed away on May 28, 2019 at the age of 59. Mark was a resident of the New Orleans area for 36 years and was a native of Bay Village, Ohio.

Beatrice Schexnayder Roques a native of Paulina, LA and lifelong resident of Lutcher, LA, passed away on to her final resting place to be with her husband on June 6, 2019 at the age of 95.

Tina Colleen Jenkins, 56, was born on April 6, 1963 and passed away on June 2, 2019. She was a native and resident of Gramercy, LA.
