The St. James Wildcat football team hosted and defeated the No. 5 seeded Union Parish Fightn' Farmers 43-36 to earn their second straight trip to the Caesars Superdome to compete for the coveted State Championship trophy.
St. James Parish Sheriff Claude J. Louis, Jr. reports his officers have arrested 61-year old Carey B. Watis (male from the Convent area, in connection to a shooting that occurred Tuesday, December 10, 2024, just before 4:00 p.m. on Highway 44 near the Sugar Hill RV Park in Convent.
