The St. James Parish Economic Development Department would like to recognize the accomplishments, hard work, and leadership of our local businesses.
Congratulations to the St. James High Wildcats baseball team for being the very first team in school history to win the district championship. This group of teens have played ball together for some time and are all friends. With only two seniors this year, there is still time for growth as a team. We congratulate the team and wish them well as they move on toward state honors.

The purpose of God coming to earth in human flesh was to suffer and die for the sins of mankind so that we might be reconciled back to Him. Jesus received the judgment and wrath of the Father so that we would not have to pay the penalty of everlasting condemnation. The penalty of sin is death; and only the shedding of blood can cover sin. The blood of the spotless “Lamb slain from the foundation of the world” (Revelation 13:8) washes us as white as snow and covers us with His righteousness. When God looks upon the Christian on Judgment Day, He does not see the sin and failure; He only sees His Son.
