Local Student Meets Country’s Newest And Most Famous Secret Service Agent

Last Thursday, St. Peter Chanel sixth grader Watson Reynaud, who was touring the U.S Capital while on a school trip, took this photo with 13-year old DJ Daniel, one of our Nation’s newest and most famous law enforcement officials. You may have watched President Donald Trump, during last Wednesday’s Special Address to Congress, surprised Daniel, who is battling brain cancer and who has always dreamed of becoming a police officer, by making him a honorary U.S. Secret Service Agent.

Highway Baptist Church To Host Spiritual Workshop

The Highway Baptist Church and Dr. Charles Oatis, Sr., Pastor is hosting a Christian Educational Workshop entitled “Sharpening the Focus of the Church” that will equip the Saints of God for par excellence ministry in 2025. The workshop will be held at Highway Baptist Church 1185 Magnolia Heights, Vacherie, LA 70090 on Saturday, March 15, 2025 beginning with continental breakfast, registration at 7:30 a.m.

American Legion Thanks Public For Helping Make Fundraiser A Success

Last Wednesday, Ash Wednesday, American Legion, Post 171, held their annual fundraiser dinner to aid in the general upkeep of the Veterans building in Lutcher, and the meal prepared was shrimp étouffee, coleslaw, corn, bread and a dessert.
