On Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 9:00 a.m., Sheriff Claude J. Louis, Jr. will host a business breakfast with all businesses from the East and West Banks of St. James Parish. The event will be held at the PR Building in Lutcher by the St. James Parish School Board.
The St. James Parish School System offers program choices, and applications for the 2025-2026 school year are now open. All Magnet, Montessori, and St. Louis Academy applications are now available on the St. James Parish Schools' website at www.sjpsb.org. The application period begins on December 10, 2024 and will close on January 31, 2025.
As we prepare to bring in the Year 2025, and because the way and days the Christmas and New Year holidays fall, we at the News Examiner-Enterprise have made the decision to not publish a newspaper the first week of the new year.
Last Wednesday was National Signing Day and it was a very special day for three Lutcher High School Bulldog athletes and their families.
