Louisiana State Police (LSP) report on Sunday, June 9th, shortly before 8:00 p.m., Troop C officers began investigating an accident involving a motorcycle and an automobile that claimed the life of 54-year-old Lansing Octave of Vacherie.
The St. James Parish Council, at the meeting of Wednesday, June 5th, introduced ordinances that will raise garbage, water and natural gas rates, suspend tree limb pick-up, and decrease litter abatement by half.
St. James Parish President Pete Dufresne recently announced that beginning July 1st, tree limb pick-up services will be temporarily suspended until further notice.
