Summer Fun...One Is Too Many...Community Team

Children need to have fun! Children need to laugh! Children need to meet new friends! These are inspiring words spoken daily by the St. James Parish Community TEAM members as we plan summer fun for children who would be sitting at home listening to and looking at violence that's having an impact on them both socially and mentally.
Patient & Visitor Masking Policy

St. James Parish Hospital’s masking policy is based on the transmission rate of COVID in St. James Parish. St. James Parish now is considered a “high transmission” area due to the amount of positive COVID cases.
Ready, Set, Grow!

June has been a rough month on vegetable gardens. It got hot quickly, stressing many plants and opening them to attack by insects and diseases. But some gardeners are still doing well and were willing to let LSU AgCenter Master Gardener volunteers (plus my daughter) judge them for our St. James Home Garden Contest. This was the first in-person contest since 2019 so we were glad to have several entries, including a couple of firsttime gardeners.
