In last week’s edition of the News Examiner-Enterprise we published an article about Ken Guidry, who dedicated 37-years of his life to the St. James Parish 4-H program and the LSU AgCenter, being inducted into the St. James Parish 4-H Hall of Fame.
St. James Parish may be losing Zapp’s Potato Chips, according to Gramercy Mayor Steve Nosacka, who delivered that news to the St. James Parish Council last Wednesday in Vacherie.
This spring we invited all high school students to enter into a Patriotic Art Contest. They were able to do two-dimensional or three-dimensional art on paper or canvas showing their patriotism. Along with the art, they were to write a descriptive paragraph of 250 words or less explaining their entry.
St. James Parish Government Department of Human Resource, CAA has received a grant for $119,139.20 from United States Department of Agriculture for the Housing Preservation Program. The grant will improve the quality of 16 substandard homes for residents of St. James Parish.
