New Ordinance Calls For Council/Sheriff To Regulate Golf Carts/UTVs

All indicators point to the St. James Parish Council voting and adopting a new ordinance at its March 31st extra monthly meeting (which was held shortly after this edition was sent to press) and the new ordinance would require golf cart/UTV owners to make their vehicles “street legal” and follow certain rules and regulations to drive on Parish roads and streets.

In an effort to answer questions and quash rumors and gossip swirling throughout the local swimming community, the St. James Parish School Board posted a release on social media last Friday to explain to the public why the St. James Parish Aquatic Center is and has been closed to students and the public for more than 40-days.
