As part of 4-H’s commitment to healthy living, St. James 4-H will host the 2019 Healthy Lifestyles Fun Run on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Gramercy Elementary School.
The River Region Arts & Humanities Council or “RRAHC” at its General Membership Meeting held on Tuesday, January, 15, 2019 recognized and awarded the 2019 grant funding to the following River Parish organizations. The RRAHC Grants Committee presented twenty two (22) grants or sponsorships totaling $13,500.00.
The River Region Arts & Humanities Council or “RRAHC”, representing St. Charles Parish, St. John the Baptist Parish and St. James Parish has 2020 grants available for schools, theatre groups, libraries, art guilds and other qualified nonprofit organizations interested in presenting arts programs or humanities projects. 2020 grants will not exceed $1,000.00 per application.

On Saturday, September 28, 2019, at approximately 10:00 p.m., St. James Parish deputies were dispatched to the residence located at 2345 Franklin Street, in Vacherie in reference to a person being shot.
