HAYS

Fay M. Hays born August 24, 1947, passed away May 28, 2026 from this world into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. No more pain, no more sickness and no more tears.

She loved her family, church family, and she loved Jesus. These things you knew instantly. She wasn't afraid to share everything Jesus brought her through, and carried her pain and the scars of life with dignity. She had a surprisingly witty and dry sense of humor that made people smile. If someone had a need she tried to fill it however much she could.

In her younger years she and her husband (Jim) had lots of adventures and travels. They finally stopped traveling, settling down in Louisiana when her daughter got to school age. They worked at Faucheaux Chevrolet where she painted cars. Later she worked alongside her husband in their business (Hays Auto Body and Repair) and at Pepsi Bottling in Reserve, LA.

Fay is survived by her children, Vickie and James. Grandchildren Heather (David) Ghere, Tiffany (Christophar) Michael, Rochelle (Steven) Paterson, Ashlee Hays, Ryan Hays, Benjamn Hays, and Cecilia Hays. Great Grandchildren Jamie Ghere, Naomi Michael, Declan Roussel and Evangeline Paterson. Sisters Linda Wakefield, Garnet (Mike) Houser and Maryjane (Terry) Pool and many nieces nephews and cousins.

The family would like to extend special thanks to our church family (First Baptist Gramercy), Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, Physcians group, Pinacle Hospice, and Dr. Randall Poche for all the years of love and care through all her illnesses. She was truly blessed.
