Obituaries

Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather Kearney Hidalgo age 87 and a resident of St. James parish passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020. Kearney was a United States Army veteran who proudly served his country. He was a long-time employee of Colonial Sugars Refinery where he worked until retirement.

On August 15th, a legend, Rev. Ferdinand Gaines, Jr., was born. If not for his untimely death, this year he would have celebrated 76 years of life. On this day, we are reminded of the rich life he led and the legacy he left in this community and beyond.
