So now the grass is cut, weights have been lifted and now it’s time to get back to work. The 2026 prep football and volleyball seasons is right around the corner as teams begin hitting the practice fields and gym courts soon. Cross Country and swimming will also get underway.

College athletes who transferred were required to sit out a one season before 2018. The lone exception was a move from FBS to FCA, which allowed immediate eligibility. Transfers from FCS to FBS still required a year on the sidelines.
