Summer is coming to a close, but don’t save those fishing poles. The St. James Boat Club will be holding their “Annual Jr. Fishing Rodeo” on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025. We are located at 39180 Hwy. 61 at the Scenic Blind River, which is located just outside of the Town of Gramercy.
Another swim season has washed away. The Invitational, which is the cap of the season, was a weekend of heat, rain, sun, lightning delays, and plenty of my favorite food group: concession stand food. Larayo’s “Let the Good Times Swim” Mardi Gras theme was carried out from start to finish. Countless parents and grandparents provided a fun space for the competition.
The St. James Parish Youth Commission is hosting a hygiene drive this summer to help collect items that will support local youth.
