A home in Vacherie in the middle of the blizzard. The snow forced local businesses and schools to close as the roadways were too dangerous to safely travel. Thankfully there were no reported injuries or deaths related to the snowfall.

This above drone photo shows homes and sugarcane fields in Hester covered by extreme snowfall. The snow came on January 21, 2025 and when it was all said and done nearly a foot of snow covered St. James Parish and much of South Louisiana.
