The Town of Lutcher’s Mayor and Board of Aldermen met in special session on Tuesday evening to possibly conduct a employee termination hearing/ appeal, but after the Town Attorney explained the law to the Aldermen, the meeting was declared unnecessary and was adjourned without any business being conducted.

Twenty-third Judicial District Attorney Ricky Babin’s Office reports on May 27, 2025, 24-year old Rayshawn Rogers (of 1659 Blanchy Ct., Baton Rouge), appeared before 23rd Judicial District Court Judge John Smith for sentencing and in the end Rogers was sentenced to 10-years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
A press release issued by Twenty-third Judicial District Attorney Ricky Babin’s Office reports on Monday, June 9th, 51-year old Tajuan Lemar (of 1161 Old Vacherie St. Vacherie), pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts).
