On Saturday, April 20 individuals and groups from around St. James Parish gathered to pick up litter as part of the Love the Boot Week. Keep St. James Beautiful board of directors planned this event as part of their yearly goals to keep our parish clean and beautiful.
The Riverside Garden Club is having a Plant Sale celebrating “Mom’s Day at the Market” at St. James Parish Farmer’s Market at the Tourist Welcome Center, 1094 Airline Hwy. 61, Gramercy, LA. The sale will be on Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 8:00 a.m 1:00 p.m.
Layers are not only for cakes. In their 3-layer landscape, the Jenkins chose white Wave Petunias as the ground layer which makes the garden “pop” against their lawn and home. The second layer of Boxwoods provides greenery throughout the year. The third layer of Sunshine Ligustrum meets the shape and color principles providing cone-shaped shades of yellow.
Seven members of First Community Antioch Baptist Church have filed a lawsuit in the 23rd Judicial District Court, and in the suit they ask a Judge to compel the senior pastor to produce, among other things, the Church’s financial records to the plaintiffs.
