This Saturday, St. James High will be featured on the national stage when more than 150 St. James Wildcat students, who participate in the Salute 1st program, along with the school’s Wildcat Productions class, join the Southern University Human Jukebox Band and musical guest Fantasia for the legendary Bayou Classic halftime show.

Since 1981 St. John Theatre has produced and staged over 70 high-quality dramas, comedies and musicals for the St. John the Baptist Parish and surrounding areas. We proudly continue our efforts of entertaining our community by announcing Steel Magnolias as our Spring 2024 production. Centered around a group of gossipy southern ladies in a small-town beauty parlor, the play is alternately hilarious and touching—and, in the end, deeply revealing of the strength and purposefulness which underlies the antic banter of its characters.
Low-income residents of St. James Parish may be eligible for financial assistance to help pay utility bills, through the Bipartisan Infrastructure, Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). The LIHEAP program is a federally funded program administered by St. James Parish Government, Department of Human Resources, CAA made available to St. James Parish through the Louisiana Housing Corporation. Persons applying for assistance must provide the necessary documentation below to complete a LIHEAP application:
