St. James Becomes First School In Nation To Offer Salute 1st Program
It was standing room only inside the St. James High auditorium last Thursday when students, faculty, parents, local and state officials, industry representatives, and numerous others gathered for the kick-off event of the Salute 1st program being implemented in our local schools.

Michael Green Announces His Candidacy For Councilman District 4
My name is Michael Green and I am running for Saint James Parish Councilman in District 4. I have two sons, Michael R. Green (38) and Tevin M. Green (31), both who have a public school education. I was reared and educated through the Saint James Parish Public School System. I have displayed a continuous interest in the Saint James Parish Public School Education System. I have been a resident of the 4th District for over 49 years. I was formally employed by Brown & Root as an accountant and until 2006 I was employed at Mosaic in Saint James as a valve technician.
