The Louisiana High School softball postseason is here and the No. 7 seeded Lutcher High Lady Bulldog softball team started the playoffs about as well as one can hope for as they dominated the No. 26 seeded Bastrop Lady Rams 15-0 (in just three innings).
The Lutcher High Bulldog baseball wraps up the regular season this week and the ‘Dogs are looking to carry a winning mindset into the post season and last weeks three straight wins (won last six games) should help them accomplish that goal.
As of April 6, 2023, the Registrar of Voters Office has completed implementation of the reapportionment plan for the new St. James Parish Council Districts in accordance with Ordinance 23-01. The last time a St. James High School baseball team hosted a first round playoff game was 2003, but the 2023 Wildcats ended the 20-year drought when they learned on Tuesday that they would play host to Springfield in a best of three series beginning this Friday.
The Lutcher Mayor and Board of Aldermen met in special session Tuesday evening and the only item on the agenda was adopting a new operating budget.
