I am proud to announce my candidacy for the Town of Gramercy Alderman-at-Large. The past four years residents have seen the action of our Town Council.
The Lutcher Bulldog football team was just a bit too much for the homestanding South Lafourche Fighting Tarpons as the ‘Dogs filleted the fish 56-0 to improve to 4-1 on the season and 2-0 in District 7-4A play. Lutcher dominated from the very start and at every phase of the game; and with three minutes remaining in the first half and Lutcher up 42-0, a running clock was implemented to speed up the game.
The St. James Wildcat football team needed two fourth quarter touchdowns to come back for a 30-27 victory over the Woodlawn Panthers in a non-district contest played in Baton Rouge. The Wildcats, who are now ranked No. 8 in the latest Class 3A state football poll, improved to 4-1 with the win, while the Panthers fell to 2-3.
The newest St. James Parish Redistricting Plan map was on display at the St. James Parish Council meeting held Wednesday, September 28th, in Vacherie.
Last Friday, I had the pleasure to spend a few minutes with Mrs. Michelle Dazé’s fourth grade Magnet Class at Gramercy Elementary and I talked to the students about what it takes to put together a newspaper each week.
