Keep St. James Parish Beautiful Launches Tour Of Restaurants

St. James Parish Government and the Keep St. James Parish Beautiful Tour is hosting a Tour of Restaurants, from October 1st through December 1st, thanks to a generous grant from Keep Louisiana Beautiful. All participating restaurants are registered as a Clean Biz through Keep Louisiana Beautiful, and are committed to helping keep their store front and our parish litter-free.

Lutcher Man Found Guilty Of Attempted First Degree Murder Of Police Officer

On the evening of Friday, October 13, 2025, a St. James Parish Jury found 41-year-old Edward Young, III (of 2184 Levy Gaudet St., Lutcher, LA), guilty of the following charges: *Attempted 1st Degree Murder of a Police Officer *Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities *Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm Young was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Adam Koenig and Bruce Mohon. The District Judge assigned to this case was the Honorable Judge Cody Martin, and standing in for Judge Martin for trial was the Honorable Ad-Hoc
