St. James Parish Elderly Program Taking Applications

St. James Parish Government, Department of Human Resources, Community Action Agency, Elderly Program is currently taking applications for the Alzheimer’s Voucher Program for fiscal year 2021-2022. Caregivers often provide 24 hour a day care for their loved ones; the Alzheimer’s Voucher Program is a program designed to provide relief to family members or caregivers while providing homecare for an elderly individual. Caregivers / Providers will be able to make choices that work best for them.

Elderly Senior Centers To Re-open On May 24th

St. James Parish Area Agency on Aging is happy to announce that we will re-open the senior centers on May 24, 2021. The hours of operation (for the seniors) will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday thru Thursday. If the spread of COVID-19 continues to decease, we plan to start increasing the hours of operation gradually until we have reached our regular hours of operation by July 1, 2021.

Thibodaux Regional Health System is pleased to announce that registered dietitian, Spenser Ford LeBoeuf, RDN, LDN, has achieved board certification as a specialist in oncology nutrition (CSO). LeBoeuf is one of just nine board-certified oncology dietitians in the state of Louisiana.
