4-H Students appeared before the St. James Parish Council, seeking approval to place “Blessing Boxes” on Parish property.
This Saturday, April 24th, voters in St. James Parish who have not taken advantage of the early voting period will head to the polls to not only elect a new 2nd Congressional District Representative, but will also decide whether the St. James Parish School Board can take some financial measures to slightly lessen the budget impact Shell closing its oil refinery in Convent will have on District operating revenues.
Yvonne’s Directions In Dance will be celebrating their 34th annual dance recital “Lights, Camera, Action!” on Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2 at the Warren Harang Auditorium in Thibodaux.
St. John Theatre is excited that the long intermission due to the COVID-19 pandemic is coming to a close as the theatre announces that it will produce Once Upon a Mattress as its 2021 Summer Musical Production. Things will be a little different this year but we are eager to get back on the stage.

Funds must be used to prevent, prepare, and respond to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Applicants may apply for emergency assistance including rent, mortgage, food, preventive kits, COVID related medical and/or burial expenses, internet and/or distant learning costs, mental health resources, childcare, financial literacy, stipend, etc.
