Changes in the summer baseball landscape has several local high school coaches looking for ways to develop their players and teams for future seasons.
The St. James High School fishing team hosted a fishing fundraiser tournament Saturday, May 11, 2024. The tournament was fished in Lake Des Allemands with weigh-in at St. James High School. With post front windy bluebird skies the anglers were able to bring in many good bags of bass.

The St. James and Lutcher High Schools fishing teams competed May 3-5, 2024 at the Calcasieu River in Lake Charles, La for the Louisiana Youth Bass Nation State Championship.
