The Lutcher High Bulldog Basketball team ended District 7-4A play with a 48-44 loss to the Ellender Patriots. Lutcher fell to 4-2 in league play and a third-place finish in the District 7-4A standings. The Bulldogs, now 1416 overall, will await its playoff assignment. The LHSAA will announce the playoff pairings on Monday, Feb. 19 for all non-select Division II teams. First-round playoff games begin on Friday, Feb. 23. Lutcher enters the postseason ranked 23rd in the latest Division II power ratings. The top 28 teams qualify for the state playoffs.
