Bulldogs Drop 48-44 Loss To Ellender; Await Playoff Berth

The Lutcher High Bulldog Basketball team ended District 7-4A play with a 48-44 loss to the Ellender Patriots. Lutcher fell to 4-2 in league play and a third-place finish in the District 7-4A standings. The Bulldogs, now 1416 overall, will await its playoff assignment. The LHSAA will announce the playoff pairings on Monday, Feb. 19 for all non-select Division II teams. First-round playoff games begin on Friday, Feb. 23. Lutcher enters the postseason ranked 23rd in the latest Division II power ratings. The top 28 teams qualify for the state playoffs.

Lady Bulldog Softball Begins 2024 Season With Jamboree

The Lutcher High Lady Bulldogs participated in the St. Charles Catholic softball Jamboree last weekend and in the abbreviated three-inning games Lutcher defeated in-parish rival St. James and lost to St. Amant.

Lumar, Taylor Help Lift Lutcher Bulldogs Past Assumption, 54-40

Wildcat Boys Basketball Outlast Bulldogs And Take One-point Victory
