The Lutcher Atalco Bulldogs of the Crescent City Sports Prep Summer League Baseball team captured its second win of the season after defeating Chalmette-based Gulf Coast Bank 10-0.
St. James head football coach Robert Valdez, who recently stepped down to take a job on the Grambling State University coaching staff, graciously spent a few minutes with me recently and he shared his thoughts on his time in beautiful downtown Vacherie and what being the head coach at St. James High School has meant to he and the Valdez family.
Micah Waguespack, 14 years old, headed to Hilldale College in Hillsdale, MI the week of May 11 to participate in the 2022 National Junior Olympics Shooting Competition in air rifle and .22 caliber smallbore rifle.
The District 9-3A All- District softball team was recently announced and both the Lutcher High Lady Bulldogs and the St. James High Lady Wildcats were each well represented on the elite squad.
