If you're not currently obsessed with pickleball you probably know someone who is. Pickleball is easy to learn, but difficult to get good at. It's great exercise, more so than tennis, a lot of fun and laughs and it's a game both genders can play together.
Imagine playing on the road in an unfamiliar environment and trying to execute a game plan by communicating with each other on the field with a deafening fanbase making it impossible to hear. This is the advantage that a great student section can give to a team playing at home.
Garden of the month for August has been awarded by the Riverside Garden Club to Ken and Kathy Guidry celebrating their home garden at 2215 S. Albert Street in Lutcher. Even in the heat of summer, many of the plants are in bloom. In fact, this garden has blooming plants most of the year. Ken does the grass cutting and most of the planting and weeding. Kathy likes propagating succulents and enjoys potting and plant care. The garden is about 30 years old.
