Thibodaux Regional Health System is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Akshit Sharma, Interventional Cardiologist, to the active medical staff. Dr. Sharma has joined the practice of Cardiovascular Institute of the South, 1320 Martin Luther King Drive, Thibodaux, (985) 446-2021.

The St. James Parish School Board met Tuesday evening and the Board was told the Administration, along with the District’s local insurance agent Englade Boudreaux Waguespack Insurance, is seeking to get an advance insurance payment approved by its insurance carriers in order to be able to pay hurricane related bills that have and will be arriving in the near future.

St. James Parish resident Mrs. Olivia LeBlanc Folse went on an all-expenses paid trip to France in 1931. Her trip was paid by the United States government. That’s the good news. The bad news, however, was that her trip was no vacation.
