Additional LIHEAP Funds Available

Additional Funds have become available for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) in St. James Parish. Lowincome residents of St. James Parish may be eligible for financial assistance to help pay utility bills. These additional funds are designated for St. James Parish Residents who are seniors over age 60, homebound, or disabled. Residents are ineligible if they received 2025 heating or cooling allocations.

School Board Honors Students For Perfect Leap Scores; Thanks Rep. Brass

The St. James Parish School Board met Tuesday and students who made a perfect score in a subject found on the LEAP test were honored, and the Board recognized and thanked State Representative Ken Brass for delivering $300,000 in funding used for the District’s intern program, cosemotology program, and to implement a broadcast media studio at St. James High.
