Spring and summer are colorful times. The vivid shades of these seasons — blue skies, green grass, flowers of all colors — are a reminder that the world around us is alive and growing.
Riverside’s Garden of the Month for May has been awarded to Shannon and Rooney Hymel who live at 1157 Lawrence Street in Hymel’s Subdivision in Lutcher, LA. Rooney extended the flower bed so that annuals and perennials could be planted to provide blooms and texture to their garden.
The St. James Wildcat Boys and Girls Track & Field teams competed in the Hurricane Invitational hosted by Prairieville High School.
The Lutcher High Boys & Girls Track & Field teams participated in the annual District 8-4A Track Meet held at E.D. White Catholic School in Thibodaux. The top four finishers in each event qualify to compete in the Region II-4 Meet. Sophomore Anais Johnson of the Lady Bulldogs was named the District Track MVP and overall MVP of the Meet in the Girls’ Division.
