As we all keep a close watch on the world-wide fight against the spreading of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the St. James Parish School Board on Tuesday was briefed by the District’s janitorial company on measures implemented to reduce the possibility of spreading (COVID-19) among the parish’s schools.
As I sat in on the St. James Parish School Board’s Building Committee meeting on Monday, it did not take long for me to become disturbed by the content of the discussion.
As previously reported by the News Examiner-Enterprise, St. James Parish President Pete Dufresne and the St. James Parish Council have been looking for ways to assist the St. James ARC, which has experienced severe budget cuts over the last several years.
