The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters will bring their new “Pushing the Limits” World Tour to over 200 North American markets and 30 countries in 2020. Launching this December, Globetrotters’ fans will experience even bigger moments and memories, including a live world record attempt at each game. Plus, many markets will feature a glow in the dark performance.

March is here and although I haven’t seen the pecan trees breaking buds yet, it’s pretty safe to say that it’s pretty safe to plant warm-season vegetables now. River Parishes Master Gardeners will have a booth selling all sorts of plants at Frisco Fest March 7 and 8. They’ll also be answering lots of questions about horticulture. March 10th I’ll be at the LaPlace library from 2 to 3 pm to talk about container gardening. I like hands-on learning so we’ll also be making hanging basket planters to take home; please sign up with the library ahead of time so I’ll bring enough buckets.

Try starting with this simple tip everyone can easily do: Leftover Water: If you have house plants, whenever possi-ble water them with leftover or unused water from drinking, cooking, and showering. Keep of water pitcher near your sink or bathtub and collect unused water running from the tap (waiting for cooler or warmer water).
