St. James Parish President Peter Dufresne began the St. James Parish Council meeting of March 6, 2024, by continuing the discussion on the Parish’s water system.

On March 18, 2004 the River Region Chamber of Commerce held it’s very first board meeting. The chamber was formed by a group of business leaders with a mission rooted in regionalism, cooperation, and solidarity.
Musical Comedy April 10th & April 11th
The River Parish Relays were held on the campus of St. James High School in Vacherie last week and both Lutcher and St. James High schools track & field teams competed in the annual event.
