In celebration of Older American’s Month, St. James Parish’s Department of Elderly Services and St. James Parish Hospital are partnering to host the 2024 Senior Picnic and Health Fair.
Commodities will be distributed on a first come, first served basis to all registered applicants. Identification will be required to pick up commodities. To be eligible to receive commodities, an individual must be a resident of St. James Parish and meet the income guidelines below.
The LSU AgCenter, West St. James Farm Bureau, and East St. James Farm Bureau will sponsor the Home Vegetable Garden Contest this spring for adults and 4-H / youth. They will also sponsor Tomato Field Day which will be held in mid-May 2024.
The Winbush-Chriswell Scholarship Foundation’s scholarship applications are now available in Lutcher High School counselor office, churches in Lutcher, Gramercy and Paulina or from any member.
Two Vacherie students will be featured in Giacomo Puccini’s La Boheme at Nicholls State University Friday through Sunday, April 12th-14th.
